T-Shirt designs have always fascinated me, especially the geeky humor type. Allen is working something with that, or something like that. Anyhoo, I got to this link, bustedtees.com, and found some humor:
Never google search 2 girls 1 cup. Don’t say I didn’t warn you. (NSFW)
Attention ladies: I enjoy Grey’s Anatomy (It’s true, I enjoy the occasional Private Practice and Desperate Housewives too)
Long Distance Relationship

There was the recommended campusfood.com from Keller, and then there’s the MSchedule.com which I found while “accidentally” snooping on a neighboring computer. Life is sweet.
Tanah Lot - Bali, Indonesia
Sunday, 2 September, 2007
If anyone would ask me what’s so special about Bali, first thing I’m gonna do is smack this picture on his/her face. Bali really is a wonderful place to be, be it on vacation or staying permanently. There’s just something in the water there. The culture, the sandy beaches, the spectacular history and scenery, the girls, and oh my goodness the people are always happy and hospitable there!
Seriously dude, go to Bali already.

Shopping spree
Monday, 23 April, 2007

original by manganite
I don’t tend to shop a lot. In fact, I see myself as more of a miser than anything else. But alas if I want to move ahead, the time has come to shop shop shop!
I did “research” since Christmas, but in the span of 3 hours this afternoon I have been spending up to a grand on amazon.com and eBay.com auctions, at the same time saving myself a great deal.
In detail, I bought a USA factory demo Nikon D70s with a Nikkor 18-55mm AF-S DX Zoom, a Nikkor 55-200mm AF-S DX Zoom and an extra battery (saved around $200-300 compared to a new product, a pretty impressive kit to keep me amused for a year), a new Lowepro SlingShot 200 camera bag (saved $20 compared to amazon.com’s, and I’m planning to bring the camera around in it), a Sandisk Ultra II CF card (saved $6), a printer cartridge, and last and most importantly a new Razor Pro Scooter (I returned the previous red scooter, but missed riding on it thus bought another one, hopefully keeping it after 30 days this time round). All Amazon purchases came with free shipping albeit a little tax. I are poor. Better sell that guitar and skateboard now.
Phew. I mean, what the hey! I finally bought a dSLR! And I get to glide around in the middle of the night again! Oh the possibilities!
Movie ratings
Tuesday, 27 March, 2007
- 300 - 4.5/5, Gory, great colors, great scripted conversations, great battle sequences. Very convincing act by King Leonidas and his 300.
- Reign over me - 1/5, Pointless plot, unclear objective, plausible act by Adam Sandler as the haywire and that guy from Hotel Rwanda as his savior old friend, draggy and long. A losing piece even to the sympathetic. A waste of time.
- Music and Lyrics - 2/5, unconvincing act and chemistry by Drew Barrymore and Hugh Grant. A fine work for the romantic movie lovers. Unbearable for the romance tolerant. The songs are the best things about the movie itself. Waste of money.
- TMNT - 3.5/5, Great for a Sunday movie, great for fans wanting a sense of nostalgia. Bad dialogues, lame Michaelangelo’s jokes, Raphael attitude was ass-kicking awesome. The best TMNT franchise in portraying the turtles as humans, ever. Showed the turtles’ personalities to plausible extent. Short. Pleasant to watch overall.

About CalTech
Sunday, 11 February, 2007
Transferring to CalTech has been my dream goal.
My parents have always told me to get the best for myself, and so I really looked out for myself. But then there are naysayers out there, friends or not, discouraging ones who scoff at the idea that I can EVEN DREAM of going to Caltech. Some of them have my interest in mind and wants to bring me back to reality. Some just don’t friggin’ care and just want me to fail.
And then there’s my own perception of my ability. I’m not exactly the best student in class. I’m not the first person classmates go to for help, and I’m not the one with the best scores for exams and assignments. I know all these. In fact, at some destructive period of my life (which goes in a cycle and arise at some point or another in a quarter, always), I get passive aggressive, not do my work, lie for the work I haven’t done, get dependent on classmates, and just don’t give a crap about my education. I think there’s miles of improvements to go for me when it comes to responsibilities and discipline.
And what took the cake was this:
| Five-year Totals | Applicants | Admits |
| Total | 956 | 95 |
| U.S. 2-year institution | 310 | 31 |
| U.S. 4-year institution | 371 | 25 |
| Non-U.S. institution | 275 | 39 |
The keyword here is “Five-year totals”.
There’s 4 days to deadline, I haven’t started, and I’m not sure if this is what I want anymore.

That movie blew my mind away. In the middle of the movie I was shouting “Fuck!” and “Don’t do it!”. Mind you I was watching alone in my room.
Steve Pavlina Personal Dev. Blog (For smart people)

There’s something about that guy. I have been more inspired by his blog than any self-help book can. And believe you me, I’ve read tons of self-help books given the self-conscious fiend that I am.
Now if you don’t mind, I’ve to go make drastic changes to my life.

Late Late Night Show with Craig Ferguson
Tuesday, 19 December, 2006

I am in love with CBS’s Late Late Night show with Craig Ferguson. That guy is such a cracker! I think I’m going to buy his book “Between the Bridge and the River”. One of the reviews quoted him like this.
As one reviewer aptly states, Ferguson “is not a talk-show host moonlighting as an author - it might be the other way around”.
Catch him in CBS 12.30am PST.

WordPress.com Editor
Monday, 18 December, 2006

For all of us in wordpress.com, there is a shortcut that will ‘unleash’ the editor toolbar.
Toggle simple/advanced toolbar:
firefox 2 alt + shift + v
firefox 1.5 alt + v
IE alt + b v
you can change the font color and include special symbols.
“More” function:
Firefox 2 alt + shift + t
firefox 1.5 alt + t

“add page” function:
firefox 2 alt + shift + g
firefox 1.5 alt + g
More shortcuts can be seen when you hover your mouse on the buttons.
Why WordPress.com have not revealed this officially, that I don’t know. These functionalities are available with direct downloads of wordpress for independent users, and I found them in wordpress.com by accidental clicks. Then they took the advanced editor functionality off wordpress.com, and only put them up again only recently. Please tell me what I don’t know.

Flickr’s new Most Popular Camera feature
Wednesday, 22 November, 2006
Check out Flickr’s newest feature, Camera Finder.
Its really informational for people who are interested in purchasing a new camera, especially the amateur photographers who are interested in getting SLRs and DSLRs for themselves, aka me. =)
I like Canon’s EOS Digital Rebel XT and Nikon’s D50, and coincidentally as you can see here, they are the 2 most popular DSLRs used in flickr. Wow!
This new feature is also useful in getting new ideas through your camera model. Saying for example I have a Fujifilm Finepix F810 (ranked 59th most used Fujifilm camera by the way, which is a great understatement for the model in my opinion), I can just look up for my model and see the photos that other flickr members using the same model has come up with. What I have found is breathtaking. “I DIDN’T KNOW MY CAMERA CAN DO THAT!” was what came out of my mouth.
I should really experiment with my camera before drooling over DLSRs like D50… Oh I bet I can take better pictures than Agus anyway. (He’s got a D50 for a year, and an arsenal of 2 macro lenses. His work, however, don’t really convince me.)
Meanwhile, check out aNNa Munandar’s work. From my little research she’s risen from a giggly girl(no offence Anna! with a customer brand camera to a pro with a D50, a business website selling her own work. Check out her website (http://www.annamunandar.com) and her flickr Profile. Oh, she’s Indonesian (w0ot!)
ps: My other camera FinePix F10 is number 1? I hate that camera and this speaks a lot about good marketing and bad consumer sense.
I am…Flying!

Thanks to cousin dearest I’ve gotten the swanking 1GM RAM to work. Physical Memory = 1503MB!
At first I thought I bought the wrong memory since the damn thing wouldn’t click into the side hooks. Cousin dearest suggested brute force, and we tried it together, pushing the card in until it finally click. Thank God it didn’t break before it clicks. Hurray!
ps: I kinda forgot to remove my battery before working on it, because I was desperate for his help and uh, old age. What will it do to my memory/computer/body? Anybody know?
Last.Fm
Saturday, 11 November, 2006

Larger image here.
The last time I did a review on Last.Fm, I was mildly entertained and barely convinced. I was using Pandora then. Then they blew my mind away with the downloadable music player. That was 6 months ago. Strangely that was the last time I used Last.fm to “enrich” my life.
I downloaded the new version for the music player, and wow, the new stuff that they come up with! I don’t think I will ever go back to illegal song-downloading, teehehe.
