If I’m the CEO of Zooomr (a direct competitor of flickr), I wouldn’t be riding on flickr’s so-called “downfall”, this with regards to negative feedbacks that flickr is receiving due to the changes that they are making. Now I know Thomas uses both flickr and zooomr, and he’s been around for a good long time when it comes to flickr membership, but hey, do you really need to spit on a competitor when he’s down? This guys is clearly pouring petrol to the fire, making a mountain out of a molehill, digging on a fresh wound. Just check his blog post, all his woes and concerns are weak and forced.

See if its mrbrown who’s complaining and not CEO of zooomr, I’d be nodding my head in agreement already. But me being a new-school member, I just don’t understand their pain.

The past week has been so trying. I got out of my comfort zone, try to quit this and that, break this addiction and that… try to eat healthy, try to exercise, try to keep up with classes, try to be superman.

I think I should quit my job and do something chicken-soup-for-the-soul-y for Spring quarter.

Guess who’s the biggest linking whore of them all? Robert Scoble is not it.

That movie blew my mind away. In the middle of the movie I was shouting “Fuck!” and “Don’t do it!”. Mind you I was watching alone in my room.

I went rock bouldering at Stone Gardens on Friday with Matt and Lucas.

We climbed for 2+ hours before calling it quits. Matt and Lucas were much stronger and continued for more even after my arms went limp.

We met Koko, a regular instructor there. In short, he’s Indonesian, been living in USA for a while, had 14 years of climbing experience, demonstrated climbing to us wearing hiking shoes instead of the climbing shoes we’re supposed to wear (and doing it like spiderman, despite of), and to top it off he gave us me 2 free passes.

The next morning my shoulder blades and arms hurt like fuck, but it was a great experience in a while. I think I’m coming back again real soon.

Happy 51st Birthday for Dad and 46th Birthday for Mom! (Their birthdays have a 6 days gap in between)

I have been surfing the web for the past 3 hours trying to find the universal answer that is uploading photos directly from Picasa to Flickr.

And I found answers. Plenty of answers. Stupid answers.

And I realize that I should feel blessed for being one of the few with common sense, one of the few who’d be contented by dragging and dropping photos instead of using gmail to send photos, or to hack your computer with Python and Uploader.py. What a load of nonsensical gibberish jargon.

Sometimes the smart thing to do is to stop looking for ways, and to just do them your own damn way.

ps: I just realized picasa keywords got carried over as tags and captions as descriptions. In the words of Borat’s, “very nice…!”
