Greyhound to the rescue
Thursday, 30 November, 2006
I may be taking a Greyhound up to Vancouver, BC tomorrow night, and even staying overnight at Barclays. You know, just for the fun of it, heeh.

What’s up with blogs that don’t provide feed syndication? That’s like selling pancakes without having maple syrup, or swimming without water, or running barefooted on snow. You get it.
Its cold outside tonight
Wednesday, 29 November, 2006
This is probably the coldest night for Seattle in 5 years. School was closed for today, and will be closed again tomorrow. Temperature will hit the teens anytime now.
I am typing this from the comfort of my home, with electricity, internet access, warm water and a full-blasted heating system. Someone out there is holding a placard saying “Pregnant, just fired and confused.” She had 3 layers of clothes on, but no hats or gloves. I hope she has somewhere to go to tonight, because if its this cold outside, it’ll not be a matter of a shelter anymore. It’s life or death.
God, I don’t talk to you often and most times I’m busy ridiculing you. But please wrap your warmth around them who are outside in the cold tonight. That’s all I’m asking for. Dammit.
School’s out!

Good night and good luck

Halfway across the world, someone is facing an important decision regarding her life.
I wish her the best of luck, happiness, strength to carry through and the wisdom to learn from her journey. All the best, friend. =)
About AT cars and driving in USA
Saturday, 25 November, 2006

OK, so I didn’t know that most AT cars nowadays have d1 up till d4, or how to get rid of those condensations on the window (I’ve only driven in tropical hot climate, see), or that you’re supposed to drive on the right hand side of the road here in US of A. Mind boggling, but I managed to bring everyone to their destination safely though. Cheerios! =_D

Little things on my mind
Friday, 24 November, 2006
I wanted to write about friendship, heart breaks and how I am feeling for the moment.
I take it that no matter how I phrase myself, words will fail to express my thoughts as I wanted it to be. So I guess I should let things rest for now.
To all my heartbroken friends, be strong and stay strong. Because tomorrow may be a brighter day, and because even if it rains, you’ll have me to keep you warm through the day =)

I believe that I am entitled to be proud of myself for now. Dad and Mom really raised me well. Daddy, Mommy, I know I’ve had my fair share of moments when I’d almost screw my life over, but for now I am fighting to better my life and I just want you to know that your son is doing all he can in making you proud. I owe it all to the both of you.
But I’m still glad my parents raised me well.

Flickr’s new Most Popular Camera feature
Wednesday, 22 November, 2006
Check out Flickr’s newest feature, Camera Finder.
Its really informational for people who are interested in purchasing a new camera, especially the amateur photographers who are interested in getting SLRs and DSLRs for themselves, aka me. =)
I like Canon’s EOS Digital Rebel XT and Nikon’s D50, and coincidentally as you can see here, they are the 2 most popular DSLRs used in flickr. Wow!
This new feature is also useful in getting new ideas through your camera model. Saying for example I have a Fujifilm Finepix F810 (ranked 59th most used Fujifilm camera by the way, which is a great understatement for the model in my opinion), I can just look up for my model and see the photos that other flickr members using the same model has come up with. What I have found is breathtaking. “I DIDN’T KNOW MY CAMERA CAN DO THAT!” was what came out of my mouth.
I should really experiment with my camera before drooling over DLSRs like D50… Oh I bet I can take better pictures than Agus anyway. (He’s got a D50 for a year, and an arsenal of 2 macro lenses. His work, however, don’t really convince me.)
Meanwhile, check out aNNa Munandar’s work. From my little research she’s risen from a giggly girl(no offence Anna! with a customer brand camera to a pro with a D50, a business website selling her own work. Check out her website (http://www.annamunandar.com) and her flickr Profile. Oh, she’s Indonesian (w0ot!)
ps: My other camera FinePix F10 is number 1? I hate that camera and this speaks a lot about good marketing and bad consumer sense.

About time I moved on
Monday, 20 November, 2006

How do you really know when to move on from the thought of a previous relationship?
When you try to browse through old photos and all that is in your mind is “OMG I want to puke already! Gimme piss-pot, bucket, anything!”

Bargaining like a Bitch
Saturday, 18 November, 2006

I love my job! Why? Because my job teaches me that if you don’t look out for your own damn self, nobody will give a shit chance for you.
My attitude with people has always been passive since I am the non-confrontational people-pleasing all-around bully-able easily-manipulated easily-pinned down type.
I ain’t taking no more bullshit, bitch! I’m saying, sure everyone’s entitled for their own opinion, but I’ve come to learn that I can convince others too, to be persuasive, and even be confrontational sometimes. Because that’s what it takes on a day-to-day basis if I am to survive doing my job. I will stop (talking about work) here for obvious reasons.
Tonight I was watching a fund raising movie and it turned out that we had more tickets than needed. I tried refunding it, but the guy won’t budge. 15 adrenaline-induced minutes, 4 employees and one boss later, after I screamed, punched, bite, scratch, smackdown-ed, used all forms of lies and deception and half of Sun Tze’s Art of War techniques…I get my $10 back. Ka ‘ching and good night!
Usually I’d have brushed confrontations like that and move on with my life. My innermost comfort zone, so to speak. Not anymore, bitch. Let me work on finding this new me and I’ll update you on this. As quoted by Bob Parson, CEO of Go Daddy, “Get out of your comfort zone and stay out there.”
I am…Flying!

Thanks to cousin dearest I’ve gotten the swanking 1GM RAM to work. Physical Memory = 1503MB!
At first I thought I bought the wrong memory since the damn thing wouldn’t click into the side hooks. Cousin dearest suggested brute force, and we tried it together, pushing the card in until it finally click. Thank God it didn’t break before it clicks. Hurray!
ps: I kinda forgot to remove my battery before working on it, because I was desperate for his help and uh, old age. What will it do to my memory/computer/body? Anybody know?
Daydreaming
Friday, 17 November, 2006
I want to be back home driving my old man’s 91′ Civic and soaking the tropical sun.
But you win some, you lose some, right? At least I have… I have… Shit I have nothing I can look forward to at this moment! LP!
