Windows Live Writer

Sunday, 13 August, 2006

I was trying out Window’s new toy, Windows Live Writer. It claimed itself as a convenient blog publishing tool. COnvenient my foot!

First, the file was relatively huge. Then at the installation options, it tried to make windows live as my homepage and windows live search as my default search. Then it tried opening up IE (which I haven’t been in for the past year). Then it installed buttons and what nots in my IE, not like it’ll help me!

Then I can only get to try out the live writer after that.

Bah, it even freezes my computer and I had to reboot. Microsoft, why haven’t you learned? I’m sticking with firefox!

I don’t even have the mood to comment on window’s plausible attempt with this writer anymore.

    Hi there.
You asked me about the ‘Recent Posts’ that I had in my sidebar. Pretty simple trick, I simply fed my own feed into the RSS sidebar widget, renamed it ‘Recent Posts’ and then limitted it to 5 feeds.
    James.
